Direct Flights to Launch from Hanoi to Siem Reap

VIETNAM: Direct flights between Hanoi and Siem Reap will soon become a reality following Prime Minister Hun Manet’s attendance at the Cambodia-Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Forum The event was chaired by the Prime Ministers of both countries on December 12 in Hanoi.

Prime Minister Hun Manet lauded the decision to open up more direct flights between the two countries at the meeting with Sovico Group founder Nguyen Thanh Hung and the management of Vietjet to sign the agreement.

The PM reaffirmed his government’s position in providing support for Vietjet's business operations in Cambodia and encouraged companies to explore the possibility of expanding direct flights from Danang to Phnom Penh, as well as the possibility of tourism packages to promote more travel of Vietnamese tourists through Vietjet Air to Cambodia.

The direct flights between the two countries will start on December 15, 2023, and provide many benefits such as attracting tourists from Vietnam and facilitating the flow of business, investors, and transportation between the two countries

This year marks 56 years of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Vietnam and cooperation between them continues to grow. Vietnam is the first ASEAN member country to receive an official state visit from Prime Minister Hun Manet, which he says signifies their close relations.
